Upon creating a profile and trying to launch a campaign, my profile has been blocked. I tried to reach out to support multiple times but they never replied. After searching the internet, I see that a lot of people experience the same thing. Just being blocked for no reason - either once they bought it or after the refund expired on AppSumo... and I bought the biggest licence as well.

For businesses seeking a cost-effective email marketing solution, this LTD provides good value. While not the most sophisticated option available, Acumbamail delivers the essential features needed to run email campaigns effectively.

This is hands-down the worst email marketing tool I’ve ever encountered, and likely the worst deal on AppSumo in the field. I’ve used many platforms, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons.

Major Issues:
1. Horrible Support: The customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful. Don’t expect assistance if you run into issues.
2. Outdated Subscription Forms: The design looks like it’s from the early 2000s, and the customization options are practically nonexistent.
3. Clunky Campaign Builder: The interface is painfully outdated. There’s no drag-and-drop functionality, which is standard in most modern platforms. Creating and sending a campaign is a nightmare—what takes mere minutes on Brevo will take hours here.
4. Privacy Concerns: The app lacks a proper “unsubscribe form.” The only way for subscribers to opt out is by clicking a link in an email or contacting you directly, forcing manual unsubscriptions. This is a blatant disregard for user privacy and makes the process unnecessarily difficult for both subscribers and the account owner.
5. Terrible Default Setup: The default login page isn’t even in English—completely unprofessional and laughable for an international deal.
6. Export Limitations: While it’s easy to import subscribers, exporting them is a frustrating ordeal. There’s no seamless way to transfer data to other providers in Excel or any common format.
7. Basic Features: The app lacks essential tools like modern stats tracking, integrations, and functional subscription or installation forms.

Overall Performance:

The indelivery rate is high. The outdated interface to the lack of integrations. Compared to professional platforms like Brevo or MailerLite, this app scores a zero.

Recommendation:

Avoid this app entirely. It’s no surprise they keep bringing it back to AppSumo as a “deal” every few months—it clearly can’t sustain itself otherwise. If you’re serious about email marketing, invest in a reliable platform like Brevo or MailerLite, which offer drag-and-drop builders, modern designs, better integration, and respect for subscribers’ privacy.

I regret purchasing this app and wish I could get a refund, but unfortunately, it’s too late. Don’t make the same mistake—steer clear of this deal. If you still have time to refund it, then you have made the correct decision!

I've used AWeber, Systeme.io, GetResponse among other autoresponders, and I thought going for Acumbamail would allow me to get rid of monthly recurring costs, but sadly, that's not the case.

The UI isn't friendly, the stats seem questionable and the support never really resolved the one issue I took up with them.

I was surprised to hear that their support is handled by real humans because ChatGPT emotes better than Acumbamail's support team.

Overall, it's not a reliable platform based on my experience of using it. And anything that has direct impact on your revenue needs extra consideration, hence I haven't used it since the last time I tested it.

I hope AppSumo rethinks it's stance on tools that have accumulated a lot of negative reviews in the recent past.

I mean, based on the reviews left by other users, it's evident that almost all the recent reviews have been negative. It'd be great if AppSumo would encourage those product owners who actually are receptive to feedback and work on turning things around rather than enabling those who just push back on genuine concerns raised by the users.

One look at the last couple of responses on the negative reviews and it's a lesson on how NOT TO address criticism.

For there to be improvement, there has to be acknowledgement of the issues, especially when they're raised by those who are actually using your tool, you just can't be pushing back. Acumbamail is still the same years later, nothing has changed really.

This product does not work. When support eventually replies, they will tell you to check Dmarc and the quality of your list each and every time, but your emails will never reach anyone's inbox. We all know how to set up autoresponders. You can't keep blaming your customers. It's disgusting that this product is still allowed on this platform.

Bought it from over a year ago but not able to use it. their RSS campaign first does not recognise the feed URL then if it works then it does not load the RSS posts in campaign.
and the worst thing is there support does not exist. and then cherry on top is they heavily rely on Spanish language only.

Major deliverability issues: emails never reach their recipients!

The reports are false: emails marked as delivered are nowhere to be found in recipients' inboxes, not even in the SPAM folder.

And yet, I followed all DMARC and DKIM recommendations and settings.

The support is terrible. Most of the time, they don't respond. And when they do respond, they are of no help.

A complete waste of money and time!

Acumbamail is simple to use, with an intuitive design editor that makes creating email templates a breeze. Plus, their delivery and tracking features are top-notch, giving you everything you need to run effective campaigns. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced marketer, Acumbamail is a solid choice!

We've been using it daily for our business for over a year now. I love that it uses the highly-capable BEE editor that is one of the most advanced email editors out there. You can also import your custom html templates from dragit or use a html block in the email, if you want to get more advanced. At first, we did have some deliverability issues, but they must have changed sending servers, and we haven't had issues in awhile with that. It integrates with so many platforms now, and you can use their SMTP, which is a great bonus. Although, if you have many subscribers and send with their SMTP, the sending speed is not very good compared to a service like Amazon SES.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth it. So far, delivery has been terrible. While I find the platform generally intuitive and easy to use, if the most critical aspect doesn't work correctly, it defeats the purpose. Support claimed that the issue lies with the servers and my list, but everything works fine with other autoresponders. Since I requested a refund too late, I'll keep it on pause, hoping that one day it becomes a viable alternative to more established platforms.
